About USEFP

The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) was established in 1950 by the governments of Pakistan and the United States. USEFP is a bi-national commission composed of an equal number of Pakistanis and Americans, with the Chair alternating between a Pakistani and an American. USEFP is one of 51 'Fulbright Commissions' located throughout the world.

Scholarship Programs

USEFP administers a variety of educational exchange programs, including the prestigious flagship program of the United States Department of State - the Fulbright Program. The Fulbright Program in Pakistan is currently one of the largest Fulbright Programs in the world.

EducationUSA Advising

The Education USA Advising Centers hosted by USEFP are part of a global network of more than 450 Advising Centers in more than 170 countries across the world. USEFP's advising team aims to provide unbiased and accurate information to all students in Pakistan considering higher education in the U.S. as well as to U.S. colleges and universities wanting information about Pakistani higher education.

Standardized Testing

USEFP operates an authorized Prometric Test Center. Exams conducted include paper-based tests, computer-based tests, internet-based tests and IT certifications. Operating in Pakistan for more than two decades, USEFP testing has expanded operations in recent years from Islamabad to Lahore and Karachi.

Alumni Affairs

USEFP coordinates a variety of alumni associations including Pakistan National Association of Fulbright Alumni (Pak-NAFA) and Humphrey Alumni Association of Pakistan (HAAP) with regional chapters in Faisalabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

Opening of Prometric Centers

USEFP's Prometric centers in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi will resume testing from August 3, 2020. Candidates affected by the closure can reschedule their exams by contacting Prometric at 00 603 762 833 33 or pro.globalcandidateservices@prometric.com
